Bulletproof feat. Jessie G - Dub Me Crazy (NZ)

Dubstep, a jarring genre that has its roots in Britain, has permeated into musical art forms over the past decade worldwide. DJ Bulletproof who hails from Auckland has spent years bringing the sound to his fellow Kiwis and he's managed to capture them this summer with Dub Me Crazy. I know that dubstep can be difficult at times for some to handle, but Bulletproof and singer Jessie G manage to make it accesible to a diverse (pop) listening audience.

Anjulie - Brand New Bitch (CAN)

When Anjulie came out with her self-titled debut over two years ago she got a fair amount of critical attention for her alternative but still approachable brand of pop music, but it didn't really set the charts afire. Flash forward to 2011 where her single Brand New Bitch, which is admittedly more mainstream than her previous work, is climbing up the top 40 chart in Anjulie's home of Canada. I think dancepop is a genre she's legitimately a fan of and if going in that direction can garner her attention & fans then I for one say, go forth!

The Saturdays - All Fired Up (UK)

Could this be the one? Could this be the single that takes British girlband The Saturdays to #1 on the charts after the spot has eluded them for the past three years? I predict that they stand a fairly decent shot given that All Fired Up in all its ravey, hands in the air fabulousness is a departure from the gals previous releases. Pixie Lott also wants the coveted position at the top with her song All About Tonight. Which ladies of pop will reign supreme when the tracks see release on September 4th?

Oh Land - White Nights (DEN)

Oh Land's self-titled album came out this spring and quickly received repeated plays on my iPod. Her songs have been featured on numerous TV shows and commercials and she's toured with the fabulous Sia this year. It's nice to finally see her releasing a new music video since Sun Of A Gun came out ages ago. Nanna (that's her real name) awakens in various dreams in the White Nights video. She is definitely one to check out if you're not familiar already.

Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera - Moves Like Jagger

This most recent era for Maroon 5 was beginning to look like a bid of a dud. Other than Misery, they were really struggling to get bonafide hits out of their singles. Then came The Voice, which grabbed the nation's attention and brought Adam Levine & Christina Aguilera together. Both artists needed a bit of a career pick me up and have found it via the show and Moves Like Jagger. The single is currently on top of iTunes charts on three different continents and the video, which just debuted, is a tribute to the man himself and his notorious dance moves and personality.

Cherise & Nadia - This Night (UK)

Booty Luv were (are?) the music duo of singers Nadia Shepherd & Cherise Roberts. They scored several top 20 hits on the UK charts between 2006 and 2009, but after the release of their very catchy single Say It they disappeared off the pop map. Well they're back and and it appears under a new name, but no matter because the new single This Night is more of the classic infectious dancepop with which they're synonymous. Welcome back ladies!
